My name is Annie and I’m a female who stands tall on five feet, nine inches. Another important feature about me is that I carry around two hundred and ninety nine pounds.
I sit. Or lie down. I rarely, or let’s try honesty; never!, exercise with the intention of becoming a slimmer me. OK, you got me, so I never exercise. Period.
Life as a Sitter is hard though – harder than one would think by first glance (or first Sit). In order to know how tough it can be, you’ve had to be Sitting for at least one week straight, maybe more. I’ve been Sitting for most of my life, but a wake-up call in the form of my mother getting diabetes type two made me change my aspirations in life. I no longer want to be a Sitter; sitting there waiting for something to arrive, to save me or make me find true purpose in life (which I haven’t found yet at the age of 25. It’s a direct result of Sitting too much.). I have to save myself, and I’ve chosen to start my journey in life by getting fitter, healthier and a lot more active.
Speaking of the journey… it’s going to be a long one. Under normal circumstances that is. But I have a different plan. I only have seven months to do it in. Seven months is twenty eight weeks, and I have over 150 pounds to loose. That’s over five pounds to get rid of per week, so I’d better get started!
How do you start this life altering journey though? I do not know a single person in this world who’s done what I’m about to do. It might have been easier if I knew someone, and could share things with along the way. But no, I fly solo on this one. I think I’m going to do it the way I usually do things once I’ve made up my mind; just do it. Get it over and done with. Easy, pain free and hopefully very rewarding both during and when it’s all said and done.
So, no time to Sit! Let’s get this fatloss show on the road!
Hi Annie,
It took me a year to go from 265 to 200. Then a stall that lasted about a year until the subsequent year contained so much chaos that I didn’t have that much time to sit and eat – and peeled off another 20.
I didn’t exercise at all, for the most part. I’m not advocating this, mind you – I’m thinking that perhaps a combo of low carb and the *right* exercises can accelerate your results. Check out the TNT Diet (I have a review on my site) for a nicely-designed exercise routine combined with low carb.
Good luck – and remember: nothing *really* worth doing is easy.
Regards,
LCC
Good job on those pounds!!
I sure hope that exercise will make me shred the kilos faster
Thank you! Wise words, and it is indeed true!
